Campaigning for first phase elections for ZPTC and MPTC picks up momentum

Sangareddy: The campaign for first phase elections for ZPTC and MPTC seats has picked up momentum in the district. In the first phase, elections for one ZPTC and 103 MPTC seats in the nine mandals of Sangareddy division will be held on May 6.

As many as 43 candidates for ZPTC seat and 440 candidates for 103 MPTC seats are in the fray. Officials allotted party symbols to the candidates of recognised political parties, and other symbols for independent candidates.

Election are being held in Kandi, Sangareddy, Kondapur, Sadashivpet, Aminpur, Zinnaram, Patancheru, Gummadidala, Hatnoora mandals of Sangareddy division. Candidates who are in the fray for first phase are busy with their campaigning. Leaders of major political parties including sitting MLAs are directly supervising the campaign. Candidates are also visiting door to door and seeking votes. Elections are scheduled on May 6. They can campaign up to 4 May.

Leaders of respective parties took victory in these elections prestigiously. The victory in Parishad election in the state are crucial for the parties. It is believed that local leaders are preparing to shell out to woo voters. It is said that a big number of liquor bottles have been stored for the distribution during elections.

Local leaders supervising the supply of liquor and biryani to the voters till polling time. On the other hand, leaders are also eying on the voters who settled in towns. It is said that all the amount for to-and-fro journey along with expenses like food and other needs.
