Police spread dragnet for Shine Hospital owner in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The owner of LB Nagar Shine Hospital MD Sunil Kumar Reddy is absconding from the Rachakonda police for more than 24 hours even after the occurrence of tragic fire accident in his hospital which took an infant life and threw other 41 kids' life into danger.
DCP LB Nagar Zone Sunpreet Singh on Tuesday said that they have launched a hunt to nab Sunil Kumar. He stated they have already booked a case against the management under section IPC 304-A and took up an investigation.
The DCP said the case will be enquired from all angles. On receiving information, the local police swung into the action and conducted rescue operation due to which they were succeeded in shifting the children to other hospitals on time for an emergency treatment, he explained.
Earlier, the DCP along with other officials inspected the hospital where the fire broke out. As serious allegations were made by the parents and witnesses about the fire accident incident, the police official stated the response of the hospital staff is being thoroughly probed in the case.
Parents of the victim children are alleging that the hospital staff showed negligence and miserably failed to rescue the children and shifting them to the other hospitals after the fire accident.
Police is also focusing on the allegations that some of the parents alarmed the staff after observing foul smell and smoke from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to act aptly but they failed to respond in right time.
Some of the parents were also brought to the notice of public that there was another short circuit occurred at ground floor before 24 hours to the occurrence of fire accident on Monday.
