T App Folio makes pilgrimage easy

Hyderabad: Planning pilgrimage or a casual visit to temple on a holiday with family? Now, you can make necessary arrangements hassle-free. No letter from MLAs is required. Nor is there any need to book a private hotel. Thanks to the 'T App Folio'. You can book rooms, darshan tickets and other sevas at major temples in Telangana with a click of a button.

This facility was made available by launching of T App Folio and through Mee Seva centers by Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy on wednesday. To begin with, through this App bookings can be made in eleven temples, including Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple, Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, Warangal Bhadrakali temple, Jubilee Hills Pedamma Temple, Yadagiri Gutta, Vemulawada, Bhadrachalam, Basar, Mahankali, Balkampet and Karmanghat temples.

Indrakaran Reddy said the pilgrim rush has been increasing every day in these temples and the government was taking steps for providing better facilities. He said the devotees can book sevas like Suprabhatam, Abhishekam, Archana, Vratams, Homams, Vahana Sevas, darshan, and other services with the help of the 'T App Folio'. The App can also be used to make donations to temples.

The new facility can save the valuable time of the pilgrims and ends the menace of middlemen. Vemulawada temple Lake to get Kaleshwaram water. The minister said water from Kaleshwaram would be released into the Vemulawada temple lake on Thursday through Mid Manair.

He said the modernisation works of the temple lake were completed and only water needs to be released into it. The minister said that soon the devotees can get Vemulawada prasadam through courier. This service would be starting from Thursday.

Temple lands to be registered in deity's name The minister said as part of the cleansing of land records, the department was taking steps to protect the temple lands. He said the temple lands would be registered in the name of the deity of the temple. All the data related to the temple lands would be stored online.

Some of the temple lands which were encroached were taken back. It was brought to the notice of the department that about 82 acres of temple lands were encroached and all these lands have been taken back, he added.
