Telangana: Keshava Rao castigates BJP over Hindutva claims
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) secretary general K Keshava Rao on Saturday said there was no real Hindu than Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Addressing a press conference here with Minister K Eshwar, Keshava Rao said the BJP was misinterpreting Hindutva. "Hindu religion respects all the sections and there are believers and non-believers in Hinduism. The TRS works for social harmony and implements 'Ekam Sat' philosophy," said Keshava Rao adding that no other had taken up so many yagams like Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The TRS leader said the BJP and the Congress stopped the flood relief aid to the affected people and added that every affected person will be given the flood relief aid after the elections. He also had praise for the TRS working president KT Rama Rao referring to him as a dynamic leader. Rama Rao has his mark in development of Hyderabad and people would vote taking all the development activities in the city, said Keshava Rao.
Minister K Eshwar said the BJP was bringing up non-issues in the GHMC elections. He questioned why the BJP leader Bandi Sanjay could not bring a single rupee from the Centre. He wondered if the BJP leaders alone were patriots and there were no patriots other than the BJP members? What have the BJP leaders done for the Ram temple in Bhadrachalam, he asked. He took exception to the comments of Bandi Sanjay that the Chandrashekar Rao was the successor of Moughal king Akbar. He said the BJP leaders Sanjay and D Arvind had no eligibility to talk.
Earlier, Government Whip B Suman said BJP leaders were using a defeated leader of Andhra Pradesh referring to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. "Pawan contested in two seats in AP and won one seat. I don't understand what the BJP leaders want to do with a person who was not useful in neighbouring States. The Opposition leaders should talk on development instead of abusing the TRS leaders individually, he said.
