Hyderabad: Is Telangana heading for another round of Sakala Janula Samme? If the government's firm stand of not going back on its decision to sack about 48,000 employees is any indication, the state appears to be heading towards confrontation between the employees of various organisations and the government.

Justifying the RTC strike all political parties and social organisations have decided to throw their weight behind the employees and have tentatively decided to give a call for state-wide bandh most probably on Saturday.

They are also demanding a white paper on the losses of RTC and the reasons responsible for it. Employees will take out rallies on Thursday before holding a meeting to finalise the action plan.

The RTC JAC and the government are only waiting for the outcome of the decision of the High Court on Thursday to firm up their respective action plans. The opposition parties and RTC unions are likely to call on Governor also.

The employees are likely to go in for protests like Vanta Varpu along with their family members in front of bus depots, chakka jam and other ways of protests if the government does not call them for talks and try to resolve the issue. It may be mentioned here that the Sakala Janula Samme was also launched in October during the agitation for separate Telangana state.

Leaders, including Prof Kodandaram, the TTDP, CPI and CPM and others criticised the government for taking unilateral decision to sack all the employees. They are also roping in the services of some top lawyers to fight the case on behalf of the employees.

Meanwhile, Justice Chandra Kumar said that the government was acting against the constitution. Advocate Ch Prabhakar said that KCR had no powers to dismiss the workers. He also said that government cannot stop the salaries of the employees even for one day.
