Warangal CP offers clothes, food to Maoist's mother
Warangal: In a bid to give a call to CPI-Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream life, Warangal Police Commissioner V Ravinder on Tuesday met Polepaka Sulochana, resident of Labour Colony in the city, whose son Sunil has been with the outlawed outfit for the last two decades.
The Commissioner who learnt that Sulochana is living in poverty spoke to her. He gave her clothes, fruits and 25-kilogram rice. He asked her to persuade her son to give up arms and lead a respectable life by joining the mainstream. He assured of all possible assistance if her son surrenders and joins the mainstream.
In another development, the Commissioner inspected Mills Colony Police Station where he also planted saplings. He elicited information about the petition management, complaints, pending cases etc. He gave tips to the staff in handling Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS).
The Commissioner told the staff to utilise the technical advances in crime detection and investigation. He explained about the utility of technology in gathering the evidence and arresting the guilty. Sub-inspectors Bheemesh, Ravinder and Venkateshwarlu were among others present.
