1.41 lakh to appear for village jobs from Sept 1

Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy convening a video-conference with route officers and special officers for the conduct of test for village secretariat posts in Eluru on Sunday

Eluru: Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy has informed that about 1.41 lakh candidates have been appearing for test scheduled from September 1 to 8 to fill as many as 8,308 posts in village secretariats in West Godavari district.

Holding a video-conference with route officers and special officers, the Joint Collector ordered them to prepare a special action plan for foolproof conduct of the test. A total of 311 examination centres have been setup in the district, he added.

The candidates have to appear one hour before commencement of the examination and no single minute delay will be entertained. Cell phones will not be allowed into the examination hall. There is restriction on entry for media and police. Reddy directed the police officials to clear traffic so that the candidates should reach the centres on time. Female candidates should not wear wrist watches and earrings.

The RTC officials were asked to arrange special buses for the candidates attending the exams.The JC also asked the officials to keep ready sufficient exam staff besides reserve staff. The videographers should not shoot the candidates from close range, he said.
