Dargah committee takes oath

Nellore: As the Roti Festival is approaching fast, Dargah Committee took oath on Tuesday. It may be recalled that the annual Roti fest will be commencing from Sep 10 and a 25-member committee headed by Abdul Razack has been formed.

Irrigation Minister P Anil Kumar Yadav, Rural MLA K Sridhar Reddy, senior leader A Vijayakumar Reddy and others were present on the occasion. K Sridhar Reddy administered the oath with the committee members in the Dargah premises and said Barashaheed Dargah became popular after Ajmeer Dargah in the country.

Minister Anil Kumar Yadav said the state government is going to organise the festival this time in a prestigious way compared to previous years. He asked the members of the Committee to serve the devotees giving no scope for irregularities. A Vijayakumar Reddy and Razack also spoke.

Municipal Health Officer Dr Venkata Ramana conducted a review with civic staff in the Dargah premises and said sanitation and health services should be maintained without causing inconvenience to the devotees. He said they would divide dargah premises into 7 zones and teams will be appointed for each zone.
