Eluru: District Collector R Muthyala Raju convenes meeting on ballot papers

Eluru: District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed mandal officials to be careful in the printing of ballot papers and ensure that there were no printing mistakes in them.

He organised a videoconference with the mandal level officials to explain the various aspects linked to printing of ballot papers. He directed them to allot the symbols prepared by Election Commission only to the contesting candidates and the symbols should be printed in the ballot paper as per Telugu alphabet. They should take police protection while shifting the ballot papers. The activity relating to ballot papers should be videoed regularly.

A register should be arranged in the strong room without fail. They should check for printing mistakes and other errors in ballot papers at the printing presses itself and there should be no spelling mistakes. Training should be imparted to the poll staff on conducting of election foolproof.
