Finish works under Manabadi Naadu-Nedu: West Godavari Collector R Muthyala Raju

Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the officials to complete various works taken up under Manabadi Naadu-Nedu programme in different schools and make it a point that students face no difficulties with regard to facilities in schools.

Reviewing progress of works under the programme, the Collector wondered why the officials did not start works relating to drinking water supply in 355 schools and minor/major repairs in 222 schools.

The officials also failed to arrange electricity supply, fans and lights in 71 schools.

Toilets with running water are not yet readied in 27 schools.

He instructed the officials to keep ready material necessary for construction like cement and sand as there would be no obstruction to works during monsoon.

He directed the officials to prepare an action plan so that all works should be over by July-end.
