Guntur: Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar directs officials to enforce lockdown restrictions in Tadepalli

Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Wednesday directed the officials to take all precautionary measures in the containment clusters and buffer zones to check spread of coronavirus. He visited Tadepalli along with Guntur urban SP P H D Rama Krishna in the backdrop of four coronavirus positive cases from Tadepalli being reported. He conducted a review meeting at Tadepalli Municipal office.

Speaking on the occasion, he directed the officials to take all steps to check the spread of coronavirus in Tadepalli and keep primary contacts and secondary contacts separately in the quarantine centres. He asked the municipal officials to conduct sanitation work in a big way in Tadepalli municipality.

He urged the residents of containment clusters to stay at home0 and not to come out. The SP directed the police officials to set up barricades in the containment clusters to restrict the movement of the people. Special officer for Covid-19 for Guntur district B Rajasekhar, Samuel Anand Kumar, the SP inspected rooms and toilets in the quarantine centre set up at KL University Boys Hostel.

Trainee Collector Mourya Narapu Reddy, DMHO J Yasmin, Tadepalli Municipal Commissioner Chinta Ravindra Reddy were among those present. As many as 12 new coronavirus positive cases were reported in Guntur district on Wednesday.

Total number of cases rose to 399 in the district. According to officials, four cases were reported from Tadepalli, six cases registered in Narasaraopet and two cases reported in Guntur city.
