Kadapa: People asked to confine themselves to homes till month-end

Kadapa: Collector Ch Harikiran stressed that people should confine themselves to homes till March 31 to prevent the spread of dreaded coronavirus. He said that a four-member committee headed by tahsildar was formed and it would have MPDP, SHO and local Health Official as members.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the Collector said that these committees will monitor the information about outbreak of Coronavirus and motivate the people to take precautionary measures.

He said that 2,850 people who were recently returned from abroad were kept in five common quarantines. He said that people in large numbers went to e went Middle East countries for lively hood from the mandals like Rajampet, Railway Kodur, Rayachoti, Proddaturu in the district. He said most of them had returned to Kadapa due to caronavirus menace. Superintendent of police KNN Anburajan warned of initiating criminal action against those who violated the norms regarding to Lockdown procedure. He said it is unfortunate that youth are unnecessarily wandering on the streets though lockdown is in existence. Joint Collector M. Gouthami and other officials participated in the press meet.
