Rich tributes paid to Tanguturi in Kakinada
Kakinada: Rich tributes were paid to 'Andhra Kesari' Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on his 147th birth anniversary at Prakasam Chowk here on Friday. East Godavari district in-charge minister and Deputy CM Alla Srinivas, Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister P Subhash Chandra Bose, Kakinada MP Vanga Geeta, MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy, District Collector Muralidhar Reddy paid tributes to Andhra Kesari who played a key role in Indian freedom movement.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders hailed Prakasam as leader who fought a peaceful battle against the British in freedom movement. The leaders also recalled the services extended by Andhra Kesari to Telugu people in combined Madras state and later to AP after formation of AP with Kurnool as capital. The leaders called up on the youth to emulate the leadership qualities of Tanguturi Prakasam.
