Kurnool: The Rayalaseema students Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders staged a protest in front of Telugu Desam Party office here on Saturday and said, ``We will not allow Naidu to tour Kurnool.''

The TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit the district early in December as part of district wise review with the party leaders on the massive loss in the recent elections. Naidu will be visiting Kurnool on 2nd of December and will camp for two days. The Rayalaseema students however condemned the visit, stating that the TDP government had not worked for the benefit of the region.

They later had heated arguments with district TDP president Somisetty Venkateswarlu and alleged that the TDP did not respect the 'Sribagh Pact'. Naidu can enter the district only after making an announcement in favour of shifting capital city and the high court to Rayalaseema, they said.

The protestors also claimed that the erstwhile TDP government did great injustice to Rayalaseema by centralising development at Amaravati. They added that the region lost out on development because the former government decided to set up the capital city, high court, IT sector, AIMS, IIT, NIT, and major industries in Coastal Andhra region.
