Bring new security Act for protection of officials: Revenue employees

Mahbubnagar: After the gruesome killing of Abdullapurmet tahsildar Vijaya Reddy recently, the Revenue staff across erstwhile Mahbubnagar district have been on a warpath and have boycotted their duties for the 6th day and demanded that until the State government assures them to bring in a new security Act named after Vijaya Reddy to provide security to the Revenue officials on duty, they will not attend their duties.

Mahbubnagar Non-Gazetted Officers Association president Rajive Reddy said that they are very much concerned that even after 6 days of the heinous crime the Chief Minister has not said a word to instil confidence among the Revenue officials. "We will continue our protest until the State government assures us the safety and security," said Rajive Reddy.
