Centre of Indian Trade Unions at forefront of joint struggles

Patancheru: State Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) secretary J Mallikarjun asserted here on Sunday that the organisation had ushered in joint struggles in the country since its formation in 1970.
Addressing the general body meeting of workers, he stated that prior to the 70s trade unions used to take up separate struggles for achieving their rights. Mallikarjun said CITU could hit back only through united struggle against anti-labour policies.
Addressing the meeting, CITU district secretary K Rajayya pointed out that it was the first trade union to desire liberation from looting of workers. Among those present included trade union leaders Anant Rao, Srinivas Reddy, Bangar Raju, Srinivas.
