Centre of Indian Trade Unions extends support to RTC workers strike

Kushaiguda: Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has extended support to the indefinite strike by unions of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) .The RTC workers unions JAC requested support during a meeting held at CITU district office in Kamala Nagar on Sunday.

CITU District Secretary Chandra Shekar, leaders Venkat and G Srinivas demanded TRSRTC to hold meeting with leaders of workers' unions to solve problems. "It's not fair to threaten those taking part in strike. RTC workers played a vital role in Telangana agitation," they added.

The leaders criticised the State government for trying to privatise RTC. The agitators demanded merging of RTC with the government.
