Hyderabad: Content with works done, but more to be grounded says Kolukula Jagan
Kolukula Jagan (42), TRS corporator candidate from Jagadgirigutta (Division 126) has won for the third time in the recent GHMC elections. He secured 10,382 votes while the nearest rival Mahesh Yadav Jella received 9,904 votes. The division was given a facelift during his past two tenures. Jagan was instrumental in completing 70 per cent of development works taken up since 2016. He is content with providing CC roads, a park, two community halls and one model market.
"A government school has been provided with basic amenities, public toilets and water reservoir have been constructed, streets have been equipped with lights, sewage pipelines have been re-laid," the corporator said stating that he is happy for having trusted by people of the division.
"My first and foremost priority is to construct a bus stop which remained pending for years due to land acquisition issue. I will ensure the work commences in six months. I am also planning to develop composite drainage system in some slums that lack sewage system," he said.
"There is no proper health center, which is forcing locals to visit other division for treatment. A plan is devised to accommodate Basti Dawakhanas (rural hospitals).
I have got immense support from the State government for fulfilling development activities in the past term and the present one. The rapport would be same in the up coming term that would start soon. I will ensure all the welfare schemes of the government reach beneficiaries in the division," the corporator added.
