Hyderabad: Chevella MP G Ranjith Reddy requested the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goel to immediately prepare a cabinet note on Hyederbad-Nagapur Industrial corridor, get the approval of the Union Cabinet and take up the work and complete in a fixed timeframe.

Revealing about the communication, the MP said in a press note here on Monday said that the proposed corridor will accommodate oil refining, textiles, handlooms, handicrafts, paper units, mining, engineering, livestock, agro-based industries, poultry and other small and medium enterprises.

"With an objective of industrial growth, the Telangana Government proposed to create Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor and submitted DPR. Commerce Ministry gave approval for the project along with Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridors in 2016. But, since then, Commerce Minister has not taken this project forward to get the final approval of the Cabinet," he stated in his letter.

"The advantage of this Corridor is the presence of several professional colleges and other educational institutions which help to churn out manpower. Secondly, the Corridors are all the more important because they boost the economic activity in Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Warangal, Medak and Adilabad districts," the MP said.
