Abdullapurmet: Student Federation of India (SFI) Abdullapurment Committee submitted a memorandum to Deputy Tahsildar Krishnaiah on Friday seeking government Junior college here.
SFI state committee member O Nagamani and mandal secretary Kayala Nagendra said it's high time Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to concentrate on his electoral promise of providing KG to PG free education.
"There are 17 government schools in Abdullapurmet mandal. The students here belong to financially backward communities and wouldn't be able to opt for private colleges. So, it's high time for setting up a junior college in Abdullapurmet," they added.
