Special arrangements at 1,186 places in Ramzan month

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore said that special arrangements would be made at 1,186 places of prayers across Greater Hyderabad during the month of Ramzan, which begins on the 5th of this month.

The GHMC Commissioner along with the Hyderabad city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, local corporators, Muslim religious leaders and other officials of GHMC and HMWSSB attended the editorial programme on the Ramzan arrangements at Salar Jung museum on Thursday.

Dana Kishore said that special measures were being taken to prevent difficulties during the occasion and in addition to this Rs 22 lakh had been released for the sanitation works. In this festival month, special staff had been deployed for sanitation works and also black covers will be distributed for all the shops in the area of Charminar for garbage collection purpose.

Commissioner said that at the historical Mecca Masjid at Charminar, special arrangements were made like constructing tents to protect from sun and other sanitation works. In the view of Ramzan month hawkers at Charminar were removed and 20 special vehicles were sanctioned for garbage collection. He also requested public to complain on any of the difficulties.
