Lockdown 4.0 Orders: Delhi, UP, Kerala To Issue Guidelines Today
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal welcomed the Centre's move to grant more leeway to state governments in the lockdown 4.0 phase. The Delhi State government is likely to issue guidelines on Monday in line with the orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday.
The Kerala government is also likely to formulate guidelines today for the next phase of the lockdown keeping in view the MHA orders. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for a meeting at 10:30 am on Monday, following which orders in conformity with the MHA guidelines will be issued.
Madhya Pradesh which is among the top six states in terms of high numbers of COVID-19 has decided to reboot the state's economy. While liquor shops in red and orange zones will remain shut till May 31, liquor outlets outside containment zones could be permitted to open, media reports said. The final decision on the way forward in MP during lockdown 4.0 will be taken at a meeting of the Group of Ministers scheduled to be held on Monday.
West Bengal government had announced on Sunday that the Central government order extending the lockdown till May 31 will be followed strictly in the state. No violations of the MHA order would be allowed, the West Bengal government said. The state government is likely to come out with a notification working out the modalities, on Monday afternoon.
