Minister launches vaccination for cattle

Tadepalligudem: Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao suggested the dairy farmers to vaccinate the cattle to control the pneumatic disease.

He inaugurated the pneumatic disease vaccination programme in West Wipparru village in Pentapadu mandal on Thursday. Addressing the inaugural meeting, the Minister said that the vaccination camps would be conducted until March 14 all over the state to save the cattle from pneumatic disease.

He said that in Tadepalligudem constituency as many as 41,886 cattle would be vaccinated under this programme. He said that already 36,650 vaccines have been supplied to veterinary hospitals and animal husbandry department.  Every year the vaccinations would be taken up in July- August and January- February.  He said that within three months vacancies of doctors and other staff would be filled up in the nine veterinary hospitals where only three doctors were working. West Wipparru Sarpanch B Nageswara Rao, ATMA Chairman Pasala Chanti, Animal Husbandry Deputy Director Visweswara Rao participated in the programme.
