SFI demands action on corporate institutions
Vijayawada: The members of Student Federation of India (SFI) staged a protest here on Wednesday, demanding that the government cancel recognition of educational institutions which were conducting classes in summer holidays.
The agitators stormed the Regional Inspection Officer (RIO) and wanted the government to take severe action against those colleges which were offering admissions much before announcement of SSC results.
The leaders alleged that many of the corporate educational institutions were not following the rules and regulations and putting mental pressure on students by holding classes in summer. The leaders alleged that the institutions were ruining the educational system in Krishna district.
Speaking on the occasion, SFI leader Ch Sumanth insisted action on institutions who were organizing bridge courses for Class X students. He asked the government to impose fee regulation law to corporate institutions. The institutions should provide games and cultural activities to the students as stress buster, demanded the SFI leaders.SFI leaders M Anil, Ch Surya Latha, B Raghu and others were present.
