Officials told to repair water pipelines

Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi is showing interest to sort out the problems of the people by knowing them personally. As part of it, he is visiting various places in the city along with the officials. He visited government college area on Monday basing on a complaint that drinking water pipeline was damaged.

He directed the officials to take up repairs to the pipelines supplying water to Nehru Nagar, Rajendranagar and other areas. With this the officials completed the repairs and revived the drinking water supply.

Later, he inspected sanitation works in 13th and 7th divisions and expressed unhappiness over the functioning of sanitation staff there. He questioned the sanitary staff for not clearing the garbage there and warned them with stern action.
