AP Govt committed to Srikakulam district development

Srikakulam: Proper utilisation of natural resources is essential for development of the Srikakulam district, said Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy. He addressed a gathering after hoisting the National Flag to mark the 69th Republic Day celebrations on Friday at the Government Degree College grounds.

He elaborated that district has good natural resources like long sea coast, four main rivers, fertile lands and mineral wealth. “With an aim to develop each area, we are implementing innovative activities”, the Collector said.

To improve coconut crop in Uddanam area, Coconut Food Park was proposed, for optimum utilisation of water resources, we would complete Vamsadhara, off-shore projects and pending extension works of Thotapalli and other medium irrigation projects,” he said.
