Vidyapeetha is tapovan for quality Sanskrit education

Tirupati: The valedictory function of 12th All India Sanskrit Students Talent Festival (AISSTF) held at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) here on Saturday.

Delivering the valedictory address, the Vice-Chancellor of Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur Prof Srinivas Varakhedi described RSVP as a Tapobhoomi, where it not only produces the students with pious sand character but also teachers. “Here such type of programmes should be conducted often, and students should take part. 
 
In the present-day scenario, the competitive spirit should be inculcated among the students, which means they themselves should compete, so that, they can compete at any time in their life for which Vidyapeetha is a suitable platform,” he opined. In his presidential address, the Vice-Chancellor of Vidyapeetha, Prof V Muralidhara Sharma has appealed to the participating institutions to take the Sanskrit fragrance back to their places and make lives and endeavours fruitful.

Efforts of Sanskrit students are highly praiseworthy, he said. “We cannot survive without quality,” is the motto, he said and asked students to keep it in mind. Awards were presented in all 18 competitions which include both literary and cultural.
 
This year, the overall championship was bagged by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati who were given away Vijayanthi Trophy. Prof RLN Sastry, Dean, Academic affairs has welcomed the gathering while the report of the proceedings of the programme was read by Dr Bharath Bhushan Rath. 

The Registrar Prof Ch P Satyanaryana, Dr Yasaswee, Dr C Ranganthan and others took part. The function was witnessed by more than 300 students from 30 Sanskrit institutions including Sanskrit Universities across the country.
