Outer ring road must for Srikakulam, say MLAs

Srikakulam: The city is growing and outer ring road (ORR) is must to meet its requirements for next 50 years, said District Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy. He conducted a special meeting with officials concerned regarding preparation of master plan for ORR here on Friday. 

Speaking on the occasion, he said ORR must cover all important villages around the city towards all directions in Amadalavalasa, Ponduru, Etcherla and Gara mandals. ORR should fulfil requirements between Amadalavalasa town and Srikakulam city.

He directed the officials to prepare a master plan by arranging at least 10 different entry roads into Srikakulam city from ring road to avoid traffic problems in future.                     

In view of scope for the development of Srikakulam in all directions towards Arasavalli, national highway, Narasannapeta and Amadalavalasa, need of ORR was raised by the MLAs of the district in the ongoing Assembly session and in turn, the government assured to finish it at a brisk pace.
