Thunderstorms to lash coastal districts today

Hyderabad: Thunderstorms with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of coastal Andhra on May 18, the Met department bulletin warned on Thursday.

According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in both the coastal and Rayalaseema districts from May 18 to 21. No large change during the period May 22-24 is the weather outlook.

The bulletin said rain occurred on Thursday at isolated places in coastal Andhra while dry weather prevailed in Rayalaseema. The highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nandigama and Kurnool.

The other temperatures in the State were Jangamaheswarapuram,  Anantapur,Kadapa & Nandyal 40 each, Tirupati, Nellore and Vijayawada 39 each.
