Jail Bharo by Rytu Sangham on Aug 9
Guntur: Rytu Sangham state vice-president V Krishnaiah said that they will conduct Jail Bharo on August 9, to mount pressure on the Centre to solve problems of the farmers in the state.
Addressing a meeting held in the CPM office in Guntur city on Tuesday, he said that farm sector was in severe crisis in the country.
He said the farmers were not getting a better price for farm produce and criticised that the government had failed to implement the Swaminathan Commission recommendations to get a better price for farmers.
He further said that 2 lakhs farmers had committed suicides after BJP came to power at the Centre and need to check farmers suicides.
Vyavasaya Karmika Sangam district vice-president Pasam Rama Rao demanded that the government implement loan redemption scheme for farmers.
He urged the farmers to make Jail Bharo a success.
