Broad-based meet of BC Welfare Assn on March 9

 Hyderabad: A broad-based meeting of the BC Welfare Association would be held here on March 9 to discuss the problems facing BCs and finding solutions, said National Association President R Krishnaiah, MLA, and Telangana Association President Yerra Satyanarayana.

They said the meeting, to be attended by the State Executive Committee members, districts’ executive members and representatives of various students, youth, teachers, women, BC Seva leaders, district level leaders and in-charges of the constituencies, would review the status of agitations for securing increased reservations and fee reimbursement. 

Thee meeting would discuss the agitations to be taken up in future. The association leaders stated that the surveys conducted by the social media had indicated a big rise in the BC ideology. They called upon  leaders of various BC communities to expand the scope of agitations. They stated that the association would exert pressure on all political parties to ensure 50 per cent seats for BCs in the ensuing elections.

Among those present at the meeting on Sunday were BC leaders Gujju Krishna, Telangana BC Yuvajana Sangham President Neela Venkatesh, State BC Association President K Narsinha Goud, State BC Hakkula Porata Committee President V Rajender, BC Sangharshana Samiti President T R Chandar, Telangana BC Sena President Barka Krishna, Telangana BC Teachers’ Association President K Krishnudu, Telangana BC Praja Samiti President Madusudhan.
