Ameerpet to Hi-Tec stretch energised

Yousufguda: The Metro Rrail works received a fillip as L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (LTMRHL) has intensified work on the Ameerpet to Hi-Tec City route.

Chief Electrical Inspector (CEIG), Government of India, DVS Raju conducted the statutory inspection of Yousufguda Metro line. DVS while inspecting Yousufguda Metro Receiving Sub Station (RSS) accorded sanction for energisation of 132 kilowatt (kV), 33kV, 25 kV Metro RSS as it is the fourth and the last RSS that is being energised.

 This RSS will feed power supply mainly to corridor III of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. The other three Metro RRS are located at Uppal, Miyapur and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand (MGBS).

While Yousufguda RSS is fed from Erragadda 220, 132 kV grid substation of Transmission Corporation of Telangana limited (TSTRANSCO) through 132 kV underground cables and is controlled through Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) from Operation Control Centre (OCC) located in HMR Uppal Depot.

DVS after the inspection said, “Energisation of the 132kV/33kV/25kV Yousufguda RSS will facilitate 33kV Power supply for auxiliary substations and 25 kV for Overhead Electric Traction System (OETS) for corridor III. Yousufguda RSS also feeds 33 kV supply to TOD Malls of L&T Metro Rail.”

Metro rail official KVB Reddy said, “This is an important milestone in Power supply arrangement for Metro Rail Systems.

This will help us to commission Auxiliary Substations at Metro Stations, Signalling and Telecommunication System, Automatic Fare Collection System in Ameerpet-Hitech city stretch as per schedule.”
