Hot days herald early summer
Hyderabad: The State seems to be in for an early summer as the day temperatures have been steadily rising with Mahbubnagar recording the day’s highest of 37 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
The Met department bulletin said the other maximum temperatures were: Bhadrachalam 35, Hyderabad, Khammam, Medak and Ramagundam 34 each, Adilabad and Nizamabad 33 each, Hakimpet and Hanamkonda 32 each and Nalgonda 31.
According to the bulletin, there was an appreciable rise ranging from 2.10 to 4 degrees Celsius in night temperatures at a few places in the State. They were below normal by 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius at few places and appreciably below normal by 3.10 to 5 degrees Celsius at one or two places.
The lowest minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad and Medak. The other temperatures recorded in the State were: Ramagundam 16, Hakimpet, Hanamkonda and Hyderabad 17 each, Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad 18 each, Nalgonda 20, Bhadrachalam 21 and Khammam 22.
