Distribute Christmas gifts in time: Collector Syed Umar Jaleel

Vikarabad: District Collector Syed Umar Jaleel has directed officials concerned to organise the distribution of ‘Bathukamma’ saris in a grand manner. He reviewed arrangements for the sari distribution with MPDOs and tahasildars in collectorate on Monday.
 
The Collector made it clear to the officials that Christmas gifts and Bathukamma saris should reach the beneficiaries in time. He directed them to select MPDO offices, Anganwadi centres, Panchayat offices for the distribution of ‘Bathukamma Saris,’ which is scheduled during December 19-25. The Collector said that 2.20 lakh saris had been received for distribution in the district. “Identify beneficiaries and issue tokens before distribution. Arrange vehicles for transporting saris from godowns,” the Collector said to them.

“In the same manner, arrange dinner before the distribution of Christmas gift on December 25. As many as four thousand gift packs were received each one for four constituencies in the district,” he added. Officials were also directed to hand over gifts to the beneficiaries in the presence of members of church and committees. They should arrange dinner on December 20. Special officers were appointed for each constituency to make these two programmes success. Joint Collector Arunakumari, DRO Mothilal, DRDO Johnson, RDO’s of Vikarabad and Tandur Vishwanatham, Venumadhava Rao, MPDOs, and tahasildars were present.
