Discussion on States border issues conclude
Tandur: The discussions on boundaries of the Kagna river between Telangana and Karnataka was concluded here on Friday. Vikarabad Collector Syed Umar Jaleel and deputy commissioner from Karnataka State Rakesh Kumar, along with officials from both States participated in the discussion. They verified boundaries of the States with the maps available with them. On the other hand, officials from both states completed survey at Kydgira in Basheerabad mandal.
Kalburgi Collector Venkatesh said that even Kalburgi was the part of the then Nizam State. He said that the sand they were mining was used for the development of this area. He also made it clear that there were no irregularities as alleged by the farmers of Telangana. Vikarabad collector Syed Umar Jaleel told the farmers not to worry about the incident. A little difference might have taken place, but do not get agitated, he said. Kalburigi assistant commissioner Susila, Tandur RDO Venumadhava Rao, DSP Ramachandrudu, AD SLR of Rangareddy district Narasimha Rao and officials from Karnataka also participated.
