Panels for sanitation workers set up for first time: Collector Syed Umar Jaleel
Vikarabad: Collector Syed Umar Jaleel said that committees for sanitation workers have been set up for the first time. This effort is intended for their development and rehabilitation, he said. Speaking here at his office on Saturday, he said this was the time for providing alternative employment and financial development for them. He directed concerned officials to take steps for the education of their children, two-bedroom houses and identify land for burial ground.
Speaking about the committees, he said SC MLAs, each member from DPO, Municipal and Railway officials would be members and the district administrative officer would be the chairman. Later, he reviewed the status of pending cases of SC, ST atrocities cases. He directed the officials to create awareness on the acts. Additional SP Narsimhulu, RDO Vishwanatham, DSP Sirisha, DTDO Kotaji, SC Corporation officer Babu Moses were present during the meeting.
