Collector M Ram Mohan Rao warns absent govt hospital staff of stern action in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: District Collector M Ram Mohan Rao said steps are being taken to provide better services in the district government hospitals. The Collector examined the attendance of staff and doctors in various wards on a sudden inspection of the government's main district hospital on Saturday.
Rao enquired about the medical services being offered to patients. The Collector warned that many complaints were being received against the hospital and that the doctors and staff should change their attitude. The Collector pointed out that the problems in the wards remained unchaned.
The Collector said the staff, officers, security and sanitation staff should act in accordance with the rules and regulations to provide services to the public without inconvenience. He said there should be cleanliness in the hospital and in the building area from time to time.
The Collector was furious when he saw alcohol bottles in the hospital. He ordered officials to issue the showcase notices to those who were not on duty. Officials said that only two of the 10 lifts in the hospital were functioning and they should be immediately repaired and made available to the public.
The Collector inspected the casualty, Maternity MIC ICU, Orthopedic and kitchen blood bank and dialysis units.
