Grand welcome to Basava Jyothi Sandesh Yatra

Lakdikapul: Representatives of the Lingayat Samaj on Monday extended a grand welcome to the Basava Jyothi Sandesh Yatra that reached the City after going round 31 Telangana districts.

They took out a rally of two-wheelers as part of the welcome from Basaveshwar's statue on Tankbund to Ravindra Bharati.

At the concluding meeting held in Ravindra Bharati, MP B B Patil and representatives of the Lingayat Samaj Vishwa Basava Trust attended in large numbers.

Cultural programmes, including plays on 'Mahatma Basaveswara' and 'Siva Sharani' received appreciation of the gathering.
