Hot conditions to persist till June 2

Medak: Heat wave conditions continued in Medak among six Telangana districts on Thursday at a few pockets, even as isolated rain occurred in the State. The Met department bulletin said the highest day temperature of 46 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad. While Dundigal had a high of 44 degrees Celsius, Hakimpet recorded 41.

According to the bulletin, thunderstorms with gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph and lightning are likely to occur on May 31 at isolated places across Telangana.

Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated pockets over Telangana on June 1 and 2. Public are advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions due to heat wave.

The bulletin said the Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into southernmost parts of the Maldives -Comorin area, some more parts of south-west and south-east Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of the Andaman Sea and Andaman Islands and some parts of east-central Bay.
