Sultanabad: CCTV cameras installation helps in nabbing criminals
Sultanabad: To keep a check on crime rate and to identify the criminals easily by utilising modern technology, people must install CCTV cameras in their colonies, suggested Ramagundam Police Commissioner V Satyanarayana.
The CP along with Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy on Friday inaugurated 69 CCTV cameras installed by the people as part of 'Nenu Saitham' programme at Indian Public School, Swapna township, Pusala Colony, Goudaveedhi and Yadavanagar areas of Sultanabad mandal of Peddaplli district.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Satyanarayana said it is the responsibility of every person to take steps for bringing down crime rate. As part of that, the Ramagundam police under the Police Commissionerate is encouraging people to participate in Nenu Saitham programme to install CCTV cameras.
There are multiple uses from the installation of CCTV cameras in colonies, as criminals will fear to commit any crime as police and people can identify the criminals easily with CCTV cameras footage. Besides, CCTV cameras will build confidence among the public under Ramgundam Police Commissionerate area as several criminals were easily tracked with CCTV cameras footage. he informed.
Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy said the Ramagundam police had taken special interest in installing CCTV cameras in Sultanabad area and to bring down the crime rate under the Police Commissionerate. By installing CCTV cameras in all villages present under Peddapalli constituency, it will become as 100 per cent CCTV cameras installed constituency and must stand model to others, he appealed the people.
Peddapalli DCP T Sudarshan Goud, Additional DCP Sanjeev, ACP Venkataramana, Sultanabad CI Mahendar Reddy, Peddapalli CI Pradeep Kumar, and Sultanabad SIs Rajesh and Linga Reddy and Prohibition SI Prashanth Reddy were present along with others.
