Eluru: District Collector R Muthyala Raju asked officers to Stay in allotted villages till March 7

Eluru: District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed constituency and mandal special officers to stay in their allotted villages till March 7 in order to complete the works pending with regard to housing plots scheduled for distribution on Ugadi.

Addressing officials at the district coordination committee meeting here on Monday, the Collector said that every official should concentrate on housing sites to meet the deadline.

Every official in their respective mandals should be assigned with a layout and work towards preparing the plots. Consent letters should be taken from persons offering land for housing scheme.

The officials should create awareness among farmers and land owners on land acquisition and motivate them to offer land.

They particularly educate them that there would be no delay in payment of compensation.

The Collector ordered the officials to level the land and mark plots besides laying roads before the deadline.
