Rajakumari all praise for Institute of Pregnant Women
Tirupati: State Mahila Commission Chairperson NannapaneniRajakumari visited Institute of Pregnant Women in Tirupati on Sunday and interacted with the patients. She expressed satisfaction over maintenance of the hospital and complimented that it reflects corporate hospital style.
When she was going round the ward, she had seen the new born baby and took that baby into her hands. She came to know that baby’s parents belong to Punganur Dhobi colony and gave the mother Rs.2000 out of her own money to buy something for the baby.
As the Mother Aruna asked Rajakumari to name her girl child, she named her as Chandrika to resemble CM Chandrababu Naidu who was providing many welfare schemes for women.
She enquired about the facilities and medical services with patients and their attendants. Hospital Superintendent Dr V Bhavani explained Rajakumari about the various schemes like Thalli bidda express, NTR baby kit etc.,
Later speaking to the media, Rajakumari said the number of deliveries taking place in IPWand in other hospitals have significantly increased as the government was extending many welfare schemes.
Besides these, the services in government hospitals have improved a lot.
