Babus told to work in tandem for farmers welfare: Peddapalli Collector
Peddapalli: District Collector Devasena instructed the officials to work in coordination with each other to ensure development of farmers. The Collector held review meeting with the concerned officials to discuss the Rythu Bandhu Scheme, Rythu Life Insurance Scheme, Plans for release of water from SRSP, repair works of SRSP canal and other schemes here at the Collectorate conference hall in Peddapelli on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that the government is introducing several new schemes for the development of farmers and the officials must work in coordination with each other to make them reach the real beneficiaries.
She instructed the agricultural officers to see that every farmer who benefitted under RBS scheme enrols under Rythu Life Insurance Scheme. The officials must take necessary steps for creating awareness among the farmers so that every farmer must pay the premium amount under Pradhan Manthri Fasal Bhima Yojana.
She informed the officials to explain the advantages of PMFBY to the farmers. Over 95 common service centres and 125 Mee Seva centres are established for the sake of farmers so that they can pay premium easily.
Later, she reviewed the water supply through SRSP plans for various crops that are cultivated under Kharif season. The agricultural officials explained the Collector about the various crops that farmers cultivating in fields during Kharif season.
