Musheerabad: GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore said that Swachh programmes in the city could be successful only when people are ready to participate in such programmes voluntarily. He was speaking at a programme ‘Swachhata hi Sewa’ organised by Power Grid Corporation of India as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme at his office here on Tuesday.

As part of its CSR initiatives, the Power Grid handed over nine electric autos to GHMC at the programme.  GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore, Additional Commissioner Hari Chandana and CGM of Power Grid Corporation of India, Ravinder flagged off the autos.

Speaking on the occasion, Dana Kishore congratulated Power Grid for donating pollution-free electric autos to GHMC.

The autos would be utilised in the commercial areas, the Commissioner said. He urged companies to come forward to serve the society through their CSR initiatives.

The Commissioner said that there was a need for an attitudinal change among people and they should not violate any rules when so many companies are coming forward to serve society.

Among those present on the occasion were officers of Power Grid Ravinder Kumar, John Danny, Susheela Devi, DAM of GHMC Circle 15, C Uma Prakash, MHO Bhargava Narayana and others.
