Elaborate arrangements made for RD celebrations

Peddapalli: District Collector Devasena inspected the SRSP camp here on Thursday, where elaborated arrangements were being made to celebrate the Republic Day on a grand scale. She urged people of all sections to attend in large numbers to make the celebrations a grand success. 

The Collector ordered the officials to arrange sufficient chairs for children, audience and press persons, allotting them special places for their convenience. The officials were told to set up a medical camp in case of emergency and to take steps to provide safe drinking water facility during the celebrations.

Republic Day celebration will begin from 9 am on Friday at SRSP camp, in which the tableaux of various departments will be show-cased, followed by several cultural programmes performed by students of various educational institutions.

In-charge district revenue officer Padmaiah, Peddapalli rural development officer Ashok, tahsildar Anupama Rao, district animal husbandry officer Rajanna and revenue staff accompanied the Collector during her inspection.
