Heat wave conditions prevail across state
Medak: While Medak recorded the day temperature of 42 degrees Celsius on Sunday, Hakimpet and Dundigal touched a high of 39 deg C each, a Met department bulletin said.
Heat wave conditions prevailed on Sunday at isolated places in Khammam district, with Khammam recording the highest maximum temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius. Nalgonda too registered a high of 45.4 deg C. This is the first time in this season that the day temperatures touched over 45 deg C.
The forecast for May 6 said dry weather is very likely to prevail across the State. There will be no large change during the period May 6-9. Nalgonda too registered a high of 45.4 deg C. The other day temperatures in degrees Celsius in the State were: Bhadrachalam (44.4), Ramagundam (44), Adilabad (43), Hanamkonda, Medak & Nizamabad (42 each), Mahbubnagar and Hyderabad (40 each), Hakimpet and Dundigal (39 each).
